Like an artist's blank canvas, Canvas the program allows a wide variety of customization.  You might use it in a very different way from your neighbor.

This course is designed to teach you the basics of Canvas.

You will work through eight units.  Each unit requires 1-2 assignments.  The course is designed for you to move through step by step, learning a skill and then using it in your own class.  The course is self paced, so you may move as quickly or slowly as you wish.

The units are:

• What is an LMS and what can Canvas do?
• Setting up and Making a Page
• Creating Assignments
• Rubrics and the Speedgrader
• Files, Modules, and Links
• Calendars and Discussions
• Tips, Hints, and Tricks

This course will take approximately six hours to complete.  A $150 stipend is available for those who complete the course (after you submit the course certificate and a dark yellow BESD contracted payroll voucher to Heidi Wheatley).
